I really hope that these photos can convey to you some degree of the true awesomeness that was the wedding of Annabelle and Charlie. It still makes me smile now when I think back to it and it was one of those days when as a wedding photographer you just have to pinch yourself and thank your lucky stars that you’re a part of it. Their ceremony was held in a beautiful little church in Stansted, Kent. It was literally full to bursting with friends and family, some stood outside looking in through the church doors, I guess that’s testament to the kind of people Annabelle and Charlie are. It was then back to Annabelle’s parents house where the garden had been transformed in to the most incredible vintage inspired wedding venue. A special mention really has to go to Annabelle and Charlie and all the family and friends who managed to create what was a truly stunning wedding.
The fact that the wedding wasn’t held in a traditional wedding venue meant that I had the luxury of using the stunning Kent countryside as a backdrop for the wedding portraits. I had spent the days in the run up to the wedding driving around the local area looking for some cool locations and was lucky enough to find some incredible places to take some photographs. A wheat field at sunset, a forest that felt like a cathedral and a view across the South Downs that just took my breath away when I first saw it. It’s something I hope to do from now on, use the whole area not just the wedding venue, use the countryside that makes Kent what it is, so if you’re up for that and you’re looking for a wedding photographer then get in touch and lets make it happen.
The wedding season has come to an end and it’s time to sit back and reflect on the year that’s gone by, when I do I know that Annabelle and Charlie’s wedding will keep making me smile.
