“Take as many photo’s as you like, the photos are important to Andy and Chloe, so they are important to us!” When I arrived at Ratsbury Barn to photograph the wedding of Andy and Chloe this was what the minister said to me, fantastic! So often when faith plays an important role in a wedding the photographer is banished to the back of the church or venue and told they can’t take any photos. I understand this and always respect the wishes of the church but it always makes me a bit sad for the couple that there will be no photos of the actual ceremony. Not this time though, it was great to be up front and pay witness to Andy and Chloe in front of all their friends and family declaring their love and commitment to one another. Ratsbury barn was a really great venue for their wedding. Really realaxed and friendly atmosphere surrounded by beautiful Kent countryside. The weather forecast was looking decidedly British for the day but the rains held off to enable Andy and Chloe to have the outdoor ceremony they were hoping for and to enable us to get some great portraits at the world famous Chapel Down Winery. I’d previously shot an engagement session with Andy and Chloe and the great thing about that is the guys just instinctively knew how I worked and were able to just relax in to the session. Engagement shoots are awesome for this, it makes the portrait session really comfortable for the couple because they’ve done it all before! I had a great time with Andy and Chloe, congratulations guys!
