“You have done an absolutely seriously amazing job! Bloody heck Eddie! We chose wisely having you Paul!”
I’m not sure why Rebecca called me Eddie but you know what, I kind of like it! : ) It feels a bit weird photographing your friends wedding day. You have your work world and your home world don’t you, and then they’re kind of merging and all of a sudden you’re a bit unsure of where you are or how to behave! But this was just great fun. The George Hotel in Rye was the venue for their wedding and somehow by, the grace of some higher presence, we were blessed with a barmy, beautifully warm sunny day slap bang in the middle of February. Rye is a great place, a great, but extremely busy little seaside town in Kent and whilst the weather was well and truly on our side I think I may have turned some of the locals against us when I kept getting in their way whilst taking Clint and Rebecca’s portraits on the cobbled streets, but ho-hum a wedding photographer’s got to do what a wedding photographers got to do, and the most important thing is these two got some amazing memories to look back on. So to the people of Rye I apologise : ) When I shot our friends Kelly and Nathan’s wedding a few years back I wrote that “there are certain couples that fit together, that are just right for each other. You see them with one another, you watch how they are with each other and you just think to yourself, yep, these two should be together.” Well the exact same is true for Clint and Rebecca. Massive congrats guys!
